Issues Committee

What exactly is an Issues Committee? Different strokes for different folks I guess, all Branches throughout the Zone have different ways of dealing with the matter of handling the members issues and their desire to have the situation brought to the attention of the National Seniors Australia (NSA).

Fairfield/Liverpool Branch Inc. decided that a small committee could look at any matters placed before the branch, consider if the problem had previously been approached and whether the criteria set by the National Policy Office had been met. It was considered the committee should be small to avoid too many chiefs and not enough opinionated indians addressing the issues, but the group had to be interested and dedicated.

Membership has delegated this group to investigate any information input on their behalf, they have been given almost carte-blanche on decisions to put before the membership, particularly since the group represents all of the values and interests across the board of the membership.

Therefore, the Issues Committee was formed to consider all matters related to resolutions to the Zone Committee and further on to the National Council for final inclusion in the Policy Document.

The committee consists of the following members:

Chairman: Current Delegate (Len L)

Members: Trevor B, and all members of the management committee.
